Perspective. Some people have a natural talent at being able to see the forest and the trees. Others can see only the forest. Some see only the trees. Still others can see only the leaves right in front of them.
It is only when we are challenged by our interactions with others and the circumstances of life that we begin to see a different angle. Sometimes the shift is almost imperceptible ~ showing a little more patience, maybe holding a door for someone. While other times it is a profound realization that sparks deep and meaningful change. The latter unfortunately usually comes at a personal cost, commonly a health crisis, but also financial and relationship strains can also cause us to step outside of what we thought we knew and find that the world just isn’t what we thought it was, or maybe we aren’t who we thought we were. Either way, the uniqueness of human interaction ~ sharing someone’s vision can help to open us up to being able to see the forest, the trees and the leaves. Once that happens, well, the sky is the limit.
Today’s deal is an opportunity to see the world from another perspective, that of photographic artist, Matt Brennan, whose photography speaks of space, peace, and natural connections. The photos speak a thousand words, and each one of those words is a chance for you to step outside yourself, even a little, and see the world from another viewpoint. It seems to me, understanding our interconnectedness through art is a beautiful way to gain balance. Of course, that is just my…perspective.
