There used to be a song on Sesame Street about the people in your neighbourhood. I haven’t watched an episode lately, but it certainly was a catchy little tune, since here I am, (approximately) 35 years later and I can still clearly remember the words and the melody. They were onto something though, because there really is something comforting about being familiar with the folks in your neighbourhood.
Which means the people who live near Kanaka Creek Coffee have an absolute gem in their midst. It is homey, it is comfortable, it is welcoming and when I went they were having a music event with a beautiful singer and and an engaged audience. Oh yeah, did I mention that their coffee was delicious and the selection of baked goods and snacks was fantastic.
